The Prince Rupert
Tucked away between Newark Castle and the market square, this enchanting timber framed pub is packed full of history boasting a menu of fantastic dishes and a perfect line up of real ales and fine wines.
Originally built in 1452, the building that houses The Prince Rupert is a true historical gem and is a must-see stop on Newark’s Civil War Trail. The history remains evident throughout with its renovation creating a fantastic pub complete with a terraced beer garden, conservatory and enchanting dining rooms.
The Prince Rupert team helped to found Pubs in Newark Together (PINT) and as a result, all ales served have been expertly selected. A delicious selection of dishes are available for lunch and dinner using fresh local produce from our very own farm! Whether you’re after traditional pub grub, a stonebaked pizza, or something a little different, you’re bound to find something that satisfies.
It is here that many events are celebrated, with a vibrant atmosphere particularly when open mic nights and beer festivals are taking place which really see the community come together.
If you’re looking for a private room to hire in Newark, there is no better place. We have rooms suitable for meetings, lunches, parties, live music and so much more, so come and have a look!
